The European Union decided to extend the sanctions against Russia until June 23, 2025, as a response to the unauthorized seizure of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia, the information was published on the official website of the EU, reports News.bg.

Initially introduced in June 2014, these sanctions target specific sectors such as transport, telecommunications and energy. These include a ban on the export of certain goods and technologies to companies in Crimea or for use in the region, reflecting the EU's firm stance against annexation.

The European Union reiterated its position, stressing that it does not recognize the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol. The EU continues to denounce these actions as a violation of international law, demonstrating its commitment to global norms and regulations.
