Russian Northern Fleet warships led by the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" ;, completed their unofficial visit and left the Cuban port of Havana, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
"Today, the detachment of ships of the Northern Fleet, led by the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov", completed the activities of the unofficial visit and left the port of Havana in the Republic of Cuba, the press service of the Northern Fleet announced.
The press service recalled that during their stay in the port, the crews of the Russian ships took part in protocol, solemn and commemorative events, including those dedicated to the Day of Russia.
Cuba President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" and the nuclear submarine "Kazan" while they were in the port of Havana.
A Russian Navy frigate and a nuclear submarine arrived in port last week in what both Cuba and the US said posed no threat, but was widely seen as a Russian show of force amid heightened tensions over the war in Ukraine, notes Reuters.
