Medvedev: Russia's future proposals to Ukraine will become even harsher - 1

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said severe warning. He stated that Russia's future proposals to Ukraine will become even tougher, TASS reports, underscoring the escalating tension between the two nations.

Medvedev stressed how important it is for Ukraine to accept the current proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He believes this is Ukraine's chance to seek peace and end the ongoing phase of the conflict.

Medvedev said: “The president has made it clear that any new proposal to Ukraine will only be harsher than what is already on the table.“

Putin recently unveiled a peace plan aimed at resolving the conflict with Ukraine. He expressed his readiness for negotiations, but insisted on the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from four regions claimed by Russia.

In addition, he demanded that Ukraine abandon its aspirations to join NATO. This proposal caused various reactions worldwide. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky likened Putin's peace terms to Adolf Hitler's policies. Meanwhile, the US and Germany rejected Putin's plan. The US has said Putin is unable to dictate the terms of Ukraine's peace, and Germany has criticized the plan as frivolous.

Medvedev's statements underscore the urgent need for the Ukrainian government to consider Russia's current offer. He warns that failure to accept the proposal could lead to a continuation of the Russian offensive.
