There is no dialogue between Russia and US presidential candidate Donald Trump on the conflict in Ukraine, Reuters reported, as referred to a statement by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, BTA reported.
Trump said last week, during a debate with President Joe Biden, that if he wins the presidential election in November, he will settle the war even before he takes office. The Kremlin noted that it could not comment on any of Trump's proposals without knowing what they included.
Furthermore, Peskov stated that Moscow and Beijing are cooperating in all areas, "including sensitive ones". He reminded that the volume of trade between the two countries exceeded 200 billion dollars.
In response to a question about the publication by "Bloomberg" that China is jointly developing combat drones with Russia, the Kremlin spokesman emphasized that "this is not the first publication" of a similar nature. "We do not react to these writings at all," he added.
Issues related to Ukraine and Syria will undoubtedly be discussed at today's meeting between Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Peskov added, stressing that Moscow is making great efforts to settle the situation in Syria. In addition, it is not excluded that contacts between the Russian president and the delegation of Qatar will take place in the Kazakh capital, the Kremlin spokesman noted.
