China and Belarus have started joint military exercises. These exercises, taking place in close proximity to the border with NATO member Poland, are causing considerable discussion.
Called the “Falcon Assault”, these exercises are no ordinary military training. They last until July 19 and take place near Brest, a city located near the Polish border. Major General Vadim Denisenko, head of the Belarusian Special Operations Command, noted that given the current global tensions, an innovative approach to tactical tasks is needed. The exercises are defined as "anti-terrorist".
Participants from both countries will hone their skills in a variety of challenging scenarios, including night landings, navigating water obstacles and operating in urban environments.
According to China's Ministry of Defense, it's all about synergy. The aim is to improve the joint work of the troops of both countries and to strengthen their practical cooperation.
