Claims that Donald Trump will leave Ukraine to Vladimir Putin if became president of the United States again (in November), they simply do not correspond to the truth.

This was stated by Wall Street Journal journalist Boyan Pancevski to BILD newspaper, telegraf.com.ua reported. According to him, the Republican has his own ideas on how to negotiate.

„Reports in the media that presidential candidate Trump will simply leave Ukraine to Putin are not true at all, he has other ideas about what to do in this war, how to negotiate,” said Pancevski.

He emphasized that all Trump confidants who could take high positions in his government could be identified as critics of Putin. According to the journalist, these people plan to put pressure on the Kremlin. According to Pancevski, Trump can offer an agreement to Putin.

„The agreement will include (a threat such as): if you don't make a deal with us and you don't want a just peace in Ukraine, then we will deliver a lot more weapons to Ukraine,”, Panchevsky said. According to the journalist, Trump can completely cut off the big Russian banks from the international financial markets. At the same time, according to Pancevski, Trump's team can also act against Russia with military means.

„American authorities can destroy the Crimean bridge and then cut off the Crimean peninsula from Russia, for example, if they supply (Ukraine) with appropriate weapons. If you want the bridge to disappear – no problem“, the journalist declared.

Incumbent US President Joe Biden has been under pressure since the disastrous June 27 debate, which polls say has bolstered Trump ahead of the Nov. 5 election and raised concerns among allies about how the Republican nominee would approach NATO and the war in Ukraine.
