Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, during a visit to Egypt, discussed the conflict in Ukraine with his counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and announced joint military exercises between the two armies in the near future.
„We both expressed our desire for world peace. It used to be silly to say this, but today it is rare and practically taboo, as only a small number of countries are allowed to call for peace rather than the defeat of one side. Today I am grateful to President El-Sisi for his words of wisdom both on the Ukrainian crisis and conflict and on other issues in the world. Serbia and Egypt share the opinion that peace is important and necessary, Vucic stressed.
„We discussed all geopolitical issues, we talked about specific types of cooperation from agriculture to military-technical cooperation. Very soon, joint exercises of the Serbian and Egyptian armies will take place, primarily our special forces,”, the head of state specified.
On July 13, the leaders of the two countries signed a free trade agreement, as well as 10 more agreements and memoranda in various fields.
