„The shooter at Trump at Saturday's rally was observed outside the event by local law enforcement who found his behavior at the metal detector suspicious,” the statement said.

The attacker managed to shoot several times at the stage, after which he was eliminated. The suspect is 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Pennsylvania. He was hiding on the roof of a production building about a hundred meters from the stage - outside the area where the event is taking place.
A spectator of the pre-election rally was also killed in the incident, and two other people were seriously injured.
