One civilian was killed in a Russian air attack on Kharkiv, said the mayor of the Ukrainian city Igor Terekhov, reports Reuters, quoted by BTA.
There have been several waves of Russian attacks on the city, Terekhov said on the Telegram communication app.
Kharkov is the administrative center of Kharkiv Oblast, which borders Russia.
Oleg Sinegubov, the regional governor of the Kharkiv region, said in "Telegram" that a fire broke out in a residential building in Kharkiv as a result of the Russian attack.
Reuters notes that it cannot independently confirm the information and that Russia has not commented on it at this time.
