Zakharova: Kyiv children's hospital hit by Ukrainian missiles, not Russian **** Zakharova also accused European leaders - 1

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova today reiterated Moscow's position that a children's hospital in Kyiv was hit on July 8 by Ukrainian anti-aircraft missiles, and rejected Ukraine's accusations that it was for a Russian strike, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

Zakharova also accused European leaders of trying to scare the people of their countries with fabricated threats that Russia and China allegedly pose a danger to the continent.

European leaders have repeatedly warned that Moscow could expand its war in Ukraine to other European countries, according to Reuters. Russia denies having such intentions.

"European leaders are trying to keep their peoples in constant fear of a non-existent threat from the east that they have invented," Zakharova told reporters in Moscow.

In her words, European leaders portray Russia and China as threats to the West, but Russia in its history has repelled numerous attacks emanating from the West.
