Russia is ready to participate in the efforts to sign a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as in the demarcation of the border between the countries, the Armenian news agency ARMENPRESS reported, quoted by BTA.

"If we can do something to reach the signing of a peace agreement, as well as to define and delineate the border, to unblock the relevant areas in logistics and economy, we will be satisfied with it," said Russian President Vladimir Putin .

Putin stressed that Moscow is ready to participate in the regulation of relations between the two countries to the extent that both sides want it. "Yesterday we touched on this topic, today we will continue with the settlement of the situation in the South Caucasus," he added.

"It is clear and everyone knows well that Russia is also facing crises, mainly because of the war in Ukraine, but Russia's historical involvement in the situation in the South Caucasus in the last few years shows that we have to participate in these events, of course, to the extent that the parties want it," concluded Putin.

He noted that after his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, he will contact Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to summarize the results of the negotiations.
