Vice President Kamala Harris officially accepted his party's nomination for president with a rousing call to fight tyranny around the world, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
„In the long struggle between democracy and tyranny, I know where I stand and I know where the United States stands," said Harris, 59, accusing former President Trump of pandering to dictators.
She described the November 5 election as a “precious, fleeting opportunity to overcome bitterness, cynicism and past divisive battles. This is an opportunity to chart a new path forward."
Harris has repeatedly distanced himself from Trump. “Just imagine Donald Trump without restraints,” she said.
Trump, who promised a real-time response to Harris' speech, posted a series of messages on his Truth Social network while Harris was still speaking, including: “She equates to incompetence and weakness”; “They make fun of our country all over the world!“ and “She will never be respected by the tyrants of the world!“
