In Monday, August 26, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrsky, held a telephone conversation with the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Europe and the Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, reports RBC-Ukraine, quoted by Focus.
According to Sirsky's message in Telegram, he informed Cavoli about the situation and the course of military actions in different directions of the front.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has expressed gratitude for the military assistance provided, as well as outlined the main needs of the Ukrainian army, in particular ammunition, military equipment and other weapons.
"We discussed issues of strengthening our air defenses. Protecting our cities and critical infrastructure from constant terrorist attacks by the Russian Federation is one of the key priorities," noted Sirski.
We remind you that after the massive Russian attack on Ukraine on Monday, the country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, called on partners to help protect Ukrainian skies, as well as in the Middle East.
He stressed that Ukrainian air defense forces could do much more to protect civilian lives if the aviation of European neighbors operated together with Ukrainian F-16 and air defense aircraft.
