Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, the Kremlin announced, as quoted by Reuters and BTA.
At the same time, Modi, quoted by Reuters, said he had discussed with Putin measures to further strengthen the special and privileged partnership. The two exchanged views on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and the Indian Prime Minister shared his observations from his recent trip to Ukraine.
"I have reiterated India's firm commitment to support an early, lasting and peaceful resolution of the conflict," Modi said.
Last week, Modi visited Ukraine, and yesterday he discussed the situation in the country, as well as other topics, with US President Joe Biden.
