All residents of Russia are responsible for aggression against Ukraine, according to 76% of Ukrainians. 20% of respondents do not agree with this opinion, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing data from a survey by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation. and "Razumkov" Center, quoted by Focus.
There is a consensus on this issue in Ukrainian society – only 4% do not have a clear position. Regardless of age, respondents largely share the conviction of the collective responsibility of Russian residents.
In addition, 64.5% are of the opinion that the Russian population is pushing the country's leadership to continue the war against Ukraine.
At this stage of the war, a majority of Ukrainians (64%) are convinced that Russian aggression was inevitable after the restoration of Ukraine's independence. In contrast, those who believe the conflict could have been avoided are in the minority (18%).
Also, the majority of respondents (59.5%) are convinced that regardless of the terms for ending the current war with Russia, the Russian Federation will attack Ukraine again in the future.
According to the Russian Levada Center, the absolute majority of Russian residents (75%) support the war with Ukraine.
According to a Levada Center survey, about 30% of Russians expect Putin to launch a nuclear attack on Ukraine.
