Russia does not have a preferred candidate for the presidential elections in the USA in November, but “the Democrats are more predictable”, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by TASS and BTA.
„We don't have a preferred candidate, but the Democrats are more predictable. What Putin says about the predictability of President Joe Biden applies to all Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Peskov noted.
He emphasized that it is possible to predict a continuation of the current US policy towards Russia.
Peskov also commented that Russian President Vladimir Putin never allows himself to be rude to the leaders of other countries. He recalled that Biden called Putin a “murderer” and added that Putin is extremely careful in his statements about foreign leaders.
In addition, Peskov expressed doubt about former US President Donald Trump's claims that he could solve the conflict in Ukraine in a day.
„I don't think there is a magic wand. It is not possible to decide something in a day”, said Peskov, commenting on Trump's promises.
He added that if the next US president announced a freeze on military aid to Ukraine and called for negotiations, it would not immediately change the situation, especially in Kiev.
