The Isle of Conservative Party leader candidates are down to four - 1

In Britain in the Conservative Party leader race for the seat Rishi Sunak was left with only four candidates after another vote of the Tory MPs, BNR reported.

After Priti Patel was eliminated in the first round of voting, her fate was followed last night by former minister from the last Conservative cabinet, Mel Stride, who received just 16 votes. Former immigration minister Robert Jenrick received the most votes, followed by Kemi Badenoch. The four are completed by James Cleverly and Tom Tugendhat.

The four will have the opportunity to win over as many of the 121 Conservative MPs as possible during the Tory conference starting on October 8.

After the congress, two more rounds of voting will be held to leave two candidates. Conservative Party members will then have a say in choosing the new leader, with the result announced on November 2.
