A fire broke out in a refinery near Athens, BNR reported. There are casualties. Police cordoned off the area until the incident. The causes of the fire are not known.
Three were slightly injured and one is in a serious condition in the hospital in Corinth, Greek authorities say.
The fire did not reach the fuel tanks, the fire services specify.
The refinery is located 70 km southwest of Athens.
47 firefighters and 17 water trucks are on the scene. They are extinguishing by air with helicopters. The forces of the fire department are constantly increasing, with teams arriving from neighboring areas.
All employees from the refinery, which is the second largest in Greece, have been evacuated. Several ambulances and medical teams are at the scene of the fire. The hospital in Corinth is on emergency alert.
The action to extinguish the fire in the refinery continues.
All roads to the scene of the accident are blocked by police.
