The President of the European Council Charles Michel called today, the Republic of North Macedonia respects the obligations undertaken, implements the legally binding agreements and resolutely continues the reforms on the way to the EU. He sent this message on the "X" social network. after yesterday's closed meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristiyan Mitskoski, quoted by BTA.
„I congratulated North Macedonia for its geostrategic orientation and commitment to joining the EU. Today, North Macedonia has a real opportunity to advance on the path to the EU and enter our family,” adds Michel.
Mickoski was yesterday in Brussels together with the leaders of the other five countries of the Western Balkans. The guests were invited to a working lunch by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
