Prosecutors: $150,000 reward offered to kill Donald Trump - 1

Prosecutors handling the investigation of the second assassination attempt against the former US President Donald Trump, reported that the suspect's cell phones were used repeatedly near Trump's golf course and home in Florida from August 18 to September 15, Reuters reported.

Prosecutors say they found a handwritten list of dates and places where Trump was expected to be, according to case documents cited by BTA.

It is also known that months earlier, Ryan Routh described "attempted murder" and offers a reward for Trump's life.

When Raut appears in court today for a hearing, prosecutors are expected to ask the judge to keep him in jail pending trial. In court before the hearing, prosecutors said that a few months before the incident, Raut had written a handwritten letter addressed "to the world" offering a reward for Trump's life.

"This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, but I failed,” the suspect wrote, according to the filing. "I'm offering $150,000 to anyone who can do the job“.

The letter was found in a box handed to authorities by an unidentified witness, which also contained ammunition, a metal pipe and four phones, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors also said that when Raut was arrested this month, in his car was a handwritten list of dates in August, September and October where Trump had appeared or was expected to appear. They said an examination of his cell phones revealed that the devices were connecting to cellular network cells located near Trump's international golf course and the Mar a Lago estate where the former president lives.
