The Chinese defense concern "Norinco" (Norinco) has developed an analogue of the American kamikaze drone "Switchblade 600" (Switchblade 600) with a range of up to 200 km, reports "South China Morning Post", which will theoretically be able to hit targets in Taiwan, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
It has a speed of about 144 km/h, and the flight time claimed by the manufacturer is up to 105 minutes. The drone can also hang in the air for some time before being assigned a target or ordered to return to the launch site.
As noted in the publication, during the development of the drone "Norinko" used its own virtual platform and artificial intelligence (AI) to calculate and select the most aerodynamically efficient design. Initially, the prototype could only stay in the air for 78 minutes, but after optimizing the model with the help of artificial intelligence, this period was increased by more than 30%.
As stated in the publication, the Chinese development could become a cheaper and more effective analogue of the American devices "Switchblade 600", which develop a speed of up to 110 km/h and can stay in the air for up to 40 minutes , which enables them to hit targets at a distance of about 40 km.
