A Russian air strike with guided bombs on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk in Wednesday killed at least two people and wounded 12 more, the governor of the Donetsk region, Vadim Filashkin, said, as quoted by Reuters.
He said Russian forces used three highly destructive bombs that hit the city center, damaging two apartment blocks, shops and cars. Among the injured are three children.
"This is another war crime by the Russians and another sad reminder that there are no completely safe places in the Donetsk region anymore," Filashkin said in a post on Telegram.
Video from the crash site shows rescue workers helping an elderly woman out of a damaged building surrounded by debris and with broken windows. Kramatorsk, which is located about 20 kilometers from the active front line, is often the target of Russian attacks.
