A gunman opened fire at a bus station in the Israeli city of Beersheba , reports "Reuters". One woman died and ten others were injured in the attack. Israeli security forces killed the attacker, and according to local media, he was a member of the Bedouin minority in the Negev desert, quoted by News.bg.
A witness to the incident said he saw soldiers shooting at the attacker. Police have described the shooting as a terrorist attack, but have not yet released details about the shooter's identity.
Israeli security forces remain on high alert because of the growing threat of pro-Palestinian attacks in the country. This tension is intensifying on the eve of the first anniversary of the attack by "Hamas" against southern Israel on October 7 last year, leading to the outbreak of the Gaza war.
