However, the ministry does not differentiate between civilians and Hezbollah fighters. in their victims. Israel claims that hundreds of fighters of "Hezbollah" were also killed.

This is twice the number killed in the last major war two decades ago.

The war shows no signs of ending, with Israel saying it is conducting new operations targeting the infrastructure of "Hezbollah" in Lebanon and parts of Syria, while "Hezbollah" continues to fire dozens of rockets into northern Israel.

In South Lebanon, an Israeli fighter jet killed the commander of the rocket forces "Nasser" of the Shiite movement "Hezbollah" Jafar Hader Faur. This was announced a day earlier by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces.

During the strikes, the commander of the drone division of the Iran-backed pro-Shiite group was also killed. According to Israel, Faur was responsible, among others, for strikes on the Golan Heights, including the attack in Majdal Shams in July that killed 12 children and teenagers.

Israeli naval commandos captured the fleet commander of the pro-Iranian group Imad Amhaz. He was involved in smuggling weapons by sea for "Hezbollah".

Although Israel and "Hezbollah" regularly exchanging blows since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the situation along the Lebanese-Israeli border has worsened significantly in recent months.

On September 23, Israel launched a "preemptive offensive operation" in Lebanon, directed against the combat infrastructure of "Hezbollah". On the eve of this operation, more than 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards northern Israel.

In recent months, the IDF began actively attacking military facilities and infrastructure of "Hezbollah" and eliminate the group's warlords.
