The pro-Iranian Shiite group “Hezbollah“ fired dozens of rockets from Lebanon at targets in northern Israel today, triggering air raid sirens in Haifa and other areas, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The group claimed responsibility for the attacks. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) counted nearly 50 rockets that flew across the border.
The equivalent of the Red Cross in Israel, the “Magen David Adom” service, reported that it provided medical aid to an 85-year-old man injured by shrapnel.
Yesterday's rocket attacks by “Hezbollah” claimed the life of a man who was initially reported to be a foreign farm worker and was later identified as an 18-year-old Israeli citizen.
The IDF announced that more than 170 rockets were fired at Israel yesterday.
