South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol will make official visits to Peru and Brazil from November 14 to 21, South Korea's presidential office said, as quoted by Reuters. Within the framework of the visit, Yun will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (ATIC) conference in Lima and the G20 summit in Brazil, cited by BTA.
At the ATIS forum in Lima scheduled for Thursday, the South Korean president is expected to hold bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and Chinese President Xi Jinping. A tripartite meeting with US President Joe Biden to discuss regional and global issues is also possible.
During his stay in Peru, Yoon Suk-yeol will also meet with Peruvian President Dina Bolwarte on Saturday. After this visit, he will travel to Brazil to participate in the G-20 meeting.
On the sidelines of the two forums, bilateral meetings with the leaders of Vietnam, Mexico and other countries are expected, which will allow South Korea to deepen its cooperation in both Asia and Latin America.
