Central Committee of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party is planning a key meeting in late December to determine the direction of state affairs for the coming year.
This was reported by KBS on Tuesday, citing the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party has decided to convene the eleventh plenary meeting of the 18th Central Committee at the end of December.
The Politburo will review the performance of party and state policies this year and confirm the policy direction for next year.
The commission will discuss and make a decision on important issues related to the overall development of socialist construction, but did not give more details.
In recent years, North Korea has announced policies for the new year at year-end meetings.
We remind you that the planned meeting comes before the start of the administration of the new US President Donald Trump.
Last year, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un declared South Korea an enemy after a meeting that took place from December 26 to 30.
The provocations towards the neighbor and the USA continue to this day - balloons with garbage and missile tests.
Also, Pyongyang has sent thousands of its soldiers to Russia to fight against the Ukrainian army.
