The appointment of the new minister- President of France, expected by the end of the day, has been postponed until Thursday, a source from the executive branch told AFP, BTA reports.
President Emmanuel Macron will leave tomorrow for Poland, and the announcement of the new prime minister will take place after his return.
During a meeting with political leaders on Tuesday, Macron assured that the new prime minister would be appointed "within 48 hours". The postponement sparked speculation about possible complications or further consultations, but no official reason was given. The new prime minister is expected to be announced on Thursday, after Macron returns from the international visit.
