This morning, Russia carried out a serious attack on thermal power plants of the Ukrainian company “DTEK Group“. Despite the severe damage caused to the energy equipment, energy personnel began immediate restoration of the affected facilities, reports BTA.
There is no information about casualties among workers
So far, there is no information about injured workers, as all of them managed to evacuate in time during the attack.
Continuing tension on energy infrastructure
This is the twelfth Russian attack on energy facilities of “DTEK“ since the beginning of 2024. The attack is part of the growing strain on Ukraine's energy system, and for the day alone it led to additional restrictions on electricity supplies across the country imposed by the national energy operator “Ukrenergo“.
The ongoing attacks highlight the vulnerability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure and the serious threat of negative consequences for the country's energy supply.
