Russian forces have captured two more villages in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, where they have been making progress against Ukrainian troops in recent months, the Russian state news agency RIA reported, quoted by Agence France-Presse.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it had "liberated" the village of Zelenivka, near the town of Kurakhove, which Moscow's troops are approaching. Russian forces also said they had taken control of Novy Komar, a village about 20 km southwest of the town, RIA reported.
