US President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will visit India on January 5-6, announced John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, at a regular online briefing for journalists.

„Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan will travel to New Delhi, India, on January 5-6, where he will meet with the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, Ajit Doval," Kirby specified.

According to him, the discussion will cover several issues – from space cooperation, defense, strategic technologies to shared security priorities in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.

According to Kirby, Sullivan is also expected to meet with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and other policymakers during the trip. He will also visit the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, where he will meet with young Indian entrepreneurs and deliver a speech.

“This will be Sullivan's last trip to the Indo-Pacific region as national security assistant,“ Kirby said.
