Syria's new defense minister said on Monday that it would not be right for the US-backed Kurdish fighters who have established themselves in the northeast of the country to maintain their own bloc within the country's more broadly integrated armed forces, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Speaking at a press conference at the Defense Ministry in Damascus, Murhaf Abu Kasra said that the leadership of the Kurdish fighters, known as the Syrian Democratic Forces, was slow to resolve the complex issue.
