Ukraine's European allies have not reached an agreement on the proposal to deploy foreign armed forces in the country to guarantee the implementation of a possible peace agreement and only some of them want to participate, French President Emmanuel Macron said today, quoted by the Associated Press, BTA reports.
“We did not reach unanimity“, the French leader said and added: “However, we do not need unanimity to do it“.
He added that France and Britain, which are the authors of the initiative, will continue work on creating a proposed similar contingent.
“There will be a guarantee force with the participation of several European countries that will be deployed“, Macron said.
