During a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed Russia's readiness to start negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian crisis with the aim of reaching a just peace agreement.
This was announced by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
“Putin highly appreciates China's objective and impartial position on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and expresses the Russian side's readiness to start peace talks without preconditions and hopes to reach a just and lasting peace agreement“, said a statement posted on the Chinese Foreign Ministry's website after the leaders of the two countries met over a cup of tea in the Kremlin.
