Today, at around 10:00 a.m. local time (coinciding with Bulgarian time), direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to end the war are expected to begin. This was reported by TASS, and the information was also confirmed by the Reuters agency, BTA reports.
The talks will be held at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul, in the office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, TASS said, citing a person familiar with the organization of the meeting.
“The negotiations are likely to begin around 10:00 a.m.“, the source said.
TASS recalls that similar Russian-Ukrainian negotiations were already held in March 2022, but then they did not achieve significant progress. The military conflict began after Russian forces invaded Ukraine in February of that year.
