Russian armed forces have established control over the settlements of Novoaleksandrivka and Torske (Новоолександрівка and Торске in Ukrainian) in eastern Ukraine. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry, quoted by Reuters, reports BTA.

According to the statement of the Russian Ministry, the two settlements were captured "as a result of the active actions of the units of the military grouping 'West'", TASS reported.
Meanwhile, negotiations between representatives of Moscow and Kiev are scheduled for this afternoon in Istanbul, aimed at finding a solution to end the war in Ukraine.
