Israel's easing of humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip is grossly insufficient. This was stated today by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, quoted by Reuters, reports BTA.
“This is completely insufficient. Immediate and large-scale assistance is needed“, Barrot stressed in an interview with “France Inter” radio, adding that Israel must ensure unhindered access to humanitarian supplies.
The leaders of Britain, Canada and France have warned Israel that it could face sanctions if it does not end its military offensive in Gaza and lift restrictions on aid deliveries. According to Reuters, this increases the pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
