Iran has executed a man accused of spying for Israel, Reuters reported, citing the Iranian news agency "Mizan", BTA reports.
The executed man has been identified as Pedram Madani. He was arrested in 2020 on suspicion of trying to pass classified information to the Israeli intelligence service "Mossad" about important strategic sites in Iran. He was also accused of illicit enrichment.
According to Iranian authorities, Madani was part of a network that supported Mossad operations in the country. Tehran accuses Israel of organizing actions aimed at destabilizing Iran, including assassinations and sabotage related to the nuclear program.
Last month, another Iranian - Moshen Langarneshin - was also executed on charges of espionage and collaboration with the Mossad, the agency recalls.
