The Kremlin has rejected Turkey's proposed idea of a meeting between the presidents of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States, Vladimir Putin, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, Agence France-Presse reported, citing the spokesman for the Russian head of state Dmitry Peskov.
The holding of such a meeting depends on achieving results in the talks with the Kremlin, the Moscow representative said. He added that Russia will send a delegation that will be ready for new talks with Ukraine, although it has not yet officially confirmed its participation.
The list of conditions for a ceasefire is expected to be discussed at the talks, Peskov added, quoted by Reuters.
He also expressed satisfaction that Russia's position on Ukraine's possible membership in NATO has been understood in Washington. He made this statement as a comment on the words of Trump's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
