The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan was unable to confirm or deny information from some media outlets that kamikaze drones may have entered Russia from the territory of the republic.
At a briefing in Astana, journalists asked Foreign Ministry official Aibek Smadiyarov about reports that the drones were delivered to Russia for a terrorist attack through Kazakhstan.
„I saw these reports this morning, of course, an anonymous Telegram channel spreads this, there is no official confirmation of this, so I can neither confirm nor deny. "I cannot comment on conspiracy theories," Smadiyarov said.
On the afternoon of June 1, Ukraine carried out Operation "Cobweb". The main part of it was strikes on military airfields in the Murmansk and Irkutsk regions, attacked by drones launched from trucks. Some media outlets reported that the drones may have been delivered to Russia in transit via Kazakhstan.
