The administration of US President Donald Trump may ban or restrict entry into the country of citizens of 36 more countries, writes the newspaper The Washington Post, citing internal documentation from the US State Department.

According to the publication, the list of countries whose citizens face a ban on obtaining a US visa or other restrictions includes 25 African countries, including Egypt and Djibouti, as well as countries in Central Asia and the Caribbean.

The Washington Post notes that a memo on this subject was signed on Saturday by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and sent to diplomats responsible for the countries on this list.

Trump previously banned citizens of 12 countries from entering the United States and introduced partial restrictions for residents of 7 more countries. The full ban will apply to citizens of Afghanistan, Haiti, Iran, Yemen, Libya, Myanmar, the Republic of Congo, Somalia, Sudan, Chad, Equatorial Guinea and Eritrea. In addition, partial restrictions will be imposed on citizens of Burundi, Venezuela, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo and Turkmenistan.
