Iran reserves the right to choose any response in defense after US strikes on its nuclear facilities, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote this morning on the "Ex" platform, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported. Araghchi said the attacks were "outrageous and will have lasting consequences".
Israeli airspace closed until further notice "due to latest developments" of the events, the Israeli Airports Authority announced this morning after the US bombing of Iran last night, reported Agence France-Presse.
"The airspace of the State of Israel is closed to entry and exit due to recent developments", the authorities said in a statement, which specified that the land crossings [with Egypt] and Jordan were operating normally".
Israel closed its airspace on June 13 after its attack on Iran, which triggered the ongoing war between the Jewish state and the Islamic Republic. The airspace was reopened on Friday for flights to repatriate Israelis stranded abroad.
Meanwhile, Israel raised the alert level throughout the country, with only so-called essential activities following the US attack on Iran.
"With the approval of Defense Minister Israel Katz and after assessing the situation, it was decided that as of today (Sunday) at 3:45 a.m. (00:45 GMT) all regions of the country [will move] from a "partial" or "limited" activity level to a "only essential" activity level, which includes "a ban on educational activities, gatherings, and work, with the exception of key sectors," a military statement said.
