Collages and memes with a black panther flooded social networks in Romania, after the gendarmerie in Giurgiu and Teleorman received several calls to the emergency number 112 about the possible presence of an animal resembling the wild cat from Shumen, BTA writes.
At this stage, no traces have been found that would confirm that the predator that disappeared in Bulgaria has crossed to the other side of the Danube. But the topic has become a source of inspiration for users on social networks.
Hundreds of collages and humorous comments have appeared on the Internet, in which the escaped black predator from Shumen is the leading character. These funny images and videos quickly collect thousands of likes and shares. More and more hotels, restaurants, shops, gyms, construction and automotive companies and even banks are using the wanted animal as an advertising gimmick, BTA saw. It eats ice cream, recycles garbage and even goes to a psychologist and a manicure.
With the help of artificial intelligence, owners of all kinds of businesses have started to "accommodate" the black panther in various places in Romania with delicacies and drinks typical of the country - including beer and kebabs.
And so from a predator, the black leopard has become a real internet celebrity, but also a symbol of friendship between the two neighboring peoples. There is no shortage of collages and cartoons on the subject, which contain catchy content related not only to the animal, but also to Bulgaria and Romania and the Danube Bridge.
The latest joke from today, however, is the firefighters from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania. A photo was posted on the organization's official Facebook page showing firefighters rescuing a black cougar from the branches of a tree. The organization provided the image to BTA and specified that it was created using artificial intelligence. The image already has over 5,000 likes and over 200 shares.
But the most important thing is the note below it. At the end of the post, the department notes that in this way they want to draw attention to a serious problem - fake news, which often circulates and gains significant popularity in the online space. This is how the black panther also served an educational purpose in Romania, some Facebook users commented.
