Musk calls for declassification of documents in the Epstein case - 1

Elon Musk has called on US President Donald Trump to publish materials on the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein. “Just publish the materials as promised“, - he wrote in X.

This is not the first time that Musk has called for the publication of information in this case. He doubted that the US president could be trusted if the White House did not publish materials on the case.

On July 6, the Axios portal reported that the US Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation had found no evidence of Epstein's possible extortion of influential people, the existence of an alleged list of his clients, or any confirmation of the version of his murder. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said at a briefing that Epstein's "client list" that the attorney general had previously mentioned did not exist. At the same time, Trump himself and members of his team repeatedly promised during the election campaign to declassify documents from the investigation into the Epstein case and ensure maximum transparency in this story.

Epstein was detained by New York State law enforcement agencies on July 6, 2019. Prosecutors said they had evidence that he organized visits to his Manhattan home between 2002 and 2005 for dozens of underage girls, the youngest of whom was 14 years old. Epstein's circle of friends and acquaintances included a large number of current and retired officials not only in the United States, but also in many other countries, including former heads of state, major entrepreneurs and show business stars. The criminal prosecution of the financier in the United States was terminated after his suicide in his prison cell on August 10, 2019.
