Former US President Donald Trump has demanded the declassification of the jury transcripts in the case against the scandalous financier Jeffrey Epstein, Nova reports.
According to him, he has ordered the Justice Department to provide additional documents related to the case.
Trump criticized "stupid" Republicans at a time when public pressure on the Epstein issue is intensifying. Although he promised to declassify the files during his election campaign, such a step was not taken during his term. Declassifying the documents requires court approval, which has not been received at the moment.
Trump's current reaction comes in response to a publication in the newspaper “Wall Street Journal“, which attributed to him an obscene letter sent to Epstein in 2003. The former president described the article as false, malicious and defamatory.
In parallel, tensions between Trump and Elon Musk escalated. Trump publicly threatened to "ruin him" after the billionaire accused him of alleged ties to the sex offender Epstein. Accusations that Trump categorically denies.
