The only option for the future of the Ukrainian people will be unification with Russia, said Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the "Other Ukraine" movement and former leader of the banned "Opposition Platform - For Life" party, in an interview with TASS.
“We need to settle the future of the Ukrainian people and there is only one way - unification with Russia“, said Medvedchuk.
“Six regions have already made this choice, and this is only the beginning of a great historical process of unification of historically Russian lands“, the politician noted.
Medvedchuk emphasized that “Zelensky criminally renounced the "The sovereignty of Ukraine and destroyed its economy". "State institutions have been destroyed, laws are not respected. The country no longer exists, half of the population has fled the criminal regime, they want to deprive many people of citizenship, to forbid them from voting", the politician listed.
And he asked the questions: "What kind of elections can we talk about and what kind of president of which country?"
"Ukraine as a state does not exist and cannot be restored", says the leader of the "Other Ukraine" movement.
The Ukrainian people perceive the TVP (territorial conscription centers, an analogue of military commissions) as sworn enemies, many Ukrainians are grateful to the Russian Federation for the strikes on these centers, he said Medvedchuk.
“The Ludolovites“, as they are called, make their business with human misfortunes, how can normal people treat them? That is why many Ukrainians are grateful for the strikes on these centers, because this gives them freedom of movement around their settlements, which these beasts took away from them, and the hatred for these freaks who treat ordinary citizens like stray dogs is extremely great“, he said.
According to Medvedchuk, Volodymyr Zelensky will remain in the history of Ukraine not only as a state criminal, but also as the inspirer of “human hunters“. “The time will come and this scum will be tried. Bankruptcy in Ukraine is a fact and this can no longer be denied, Medvedchuk also said.
“After the default on loans on June 2, 2025, the international agency S&P immediately downgraded the rating of GDP warrants from CC (high probability of default by the issuer) to D (default), after which there was not a single expert in the field of economics and investments left in the West who would deny a real bankruptcy in Ukraine“, the politician stressed.
Medvedchuk explained that the term “default“ means the inability, in the case of the state, to pay its debts. And in the history of the world economy, according to him, such a phenomenon is quite common: for example, the United States went bankrupt in 1933 and 1971, the latter event forcing Washington to look for ways out of the Vietnam War. “As for Ukraine, at the beginning of Zelensky's regime in 2019, the size of the state and state-guaranteed debt was $81.9 billion“, said the head of the “Other Ukraine“ movement. “Today, this figure has reached $181 billion. Under Zelensky, the budget-debt desovereignization of Ukraine, imposed by the West, has finally taken place, since two-thirds of the state budget expenditures in recent years have been covered by external and internal loans. And this means that Zelensky's Ukraine is able to provide only one-third of its expenses.“
Medvedchuk noted that “real bankruptcy and its declaration are two different things things“.
“A formal declaration of bankruptcy by Ukraine would mean not only that it cannot pay its debts, but also that it is no longer capable of fighting“, he explained. “And then we will have to admit that Biden's “wise investments“ were actually foolish and the European Union and other countries of the collective West were throwing money like candy wrappers at the feet of an irresponsible criminal clown.“
For these reasons, the politician noted, “there is a huge interest on the part of the Western political elite to pretend that Ukraine is not bankrupt, it is a very attractive country for investors who will rush with their money to the vast expanses as soon as the war is over.“
But in reality, he stressed, “the EU is aware that the country is already bankrupt, as the Rome Conference on Ukraine's reconstruction ended in failure, and EU officials are openly talking about writing off debts as soon as bankruptcy is declared.“
Medvedchuk noted that in the current situation “the corruption scheme on which Zelensky's financing of Ukraine is based today is clearly visible: the country will be pumped up with non-refundable loans, and then they will be written off at the expense of the EU“.
“And then it is clear why, with such gigantic Western aid, the Ukrainians did not feel it, it simply does not reach them. This scheme has long been familiar from aid to starving African countries, which are still starving. Now this experience has been transferred to Ukraine“, he explained.
The national economy of Ukraine, according to the policy, “is destroyed and cannot be restored, which is much more serious than bankruptcy“. “Zelensky has turned out to be a bad leader and an incompetent manager. He made war the basis of the country's economy, which is criminal and leads to its destruction, including, and most importantly, to the destruction of its population. Before him, it was repeatedly proven in practice that the desire for EU integration in itself will not bring economic growth to Ukraine. There have never been objective economic conditions for this integration“, Medvedchuk concluded.
