Former US President Donald Trump commented on a sharp statement by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, who threatened the United States with war in the event of the imposition of secondary sanctions against Russia. In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump issued a personal warning to Medvedev, as well as criticism of economic ties between India and Russia, reports Focus.
„Tell Medvedev, the failed former president of Russia, who still considers himself a president, to be careful with his words. He is entering very dangerous territory!“, Trump wrote.
This is not the first time that Trump has publicly responded to Medvedev's statements. He previously condemned his hints about a possible transfer of nuclear weapons to Iran by his allies.
Trump also spoke out on the subject of foreign trade, linking yesterday's imposition of tariffs against India to its relations with Russia.
“I don't care what India does with Russia. If they want, let them sink together with their dead economies. We hardly do business with India anyway; their tariffs are too high, some of the highest in the world. Similarly, Russia and the US hardly trade with each other. Let's leave things as they are“, he added.
Yesterday, Trump said that in addition to the 25% tariffs already imposed on Indian goods, the country would have to pay an "additional fine" for its trade with Russia and for its membership in the BRICS economic group.
