Lithuania asks NATO for immediate measures after Russian drone enters Lithuanian airspace  - 1

Lithuania said that the Russian-made drone that entered Lithuanian airspace from Belarus and was found in the area of a military training area last week was loaded with two kilograms of explosives, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

"During an inspection of the device, it was found that there were explosives in it, which were successfully defused on the spot", said Lithuanian Prosecutor General Nida Grunskiene.

Shortly after the announcement of this news, Lithuania asked NATO to take immediate necessary measures to strengthen Lithuanian air defense.

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris said that he and the Minister of Defense Minister Dovilė Šakaliė wrote a letter to NATO chief Mark Rutte to request immediate measures to strengthen Lithuania's air defense capabilities.
