Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in which he informed him about the planned talks with US President Donald Trump, scheduled for Friday in Alaska, the Kremlin press service reported, quoted by TASS, BTA reports.
The two leaders expressed confidence in the further strengthening of friendship and good-neighborliness between Russia and North Korea.
“The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to developing relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and cooperation in all areas, in accordance with the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and the DPRK, signed in Pyongyang on June 19, 2024,“, the Kremlin statement said.
Vladimir Putin congratulated Kim Jong-un on the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule.
