The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that its officers detained three members of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the Bryansk region, News.bg reports.
The FSB's public relations center said that three other members of the group were killed during the operation. During the operation, "six American-made automatic rifles with silent firing devices, 16 kg of Czech-made plastic explosives, means for initiating an explosion, a large number of NATO-type grenades and cartridges, as well as a radio station for communication with the leadership of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense" were seized.
According to the Telegram channel Mash, close to the Russian security services, the sabotage group intended to blow up a railway junction on the border between the Bryansk and Kaluga regions, when a train with fuel and lubricants was supposed to pass through it.
The FSB also claims that the detained saboteurs participated in the bombing of the railway line in the Belgorod region in September 2024.
